HSA MANAGEMENT TEAM

Managers are the students who lead HSA's several divisional businesses and are in charge of the corporation's $4 million budget. Managers oversee the operations, employees, marketing, and strategy of each of HSA's thirteen agencies. They have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals and to learn from Harvard Business School professors on the HSA Board of Directors. As an integral part of the budding entrepreneurial community at Harvard, HSA managers are at the forefront of exciting business initiatives and ventures.

Although not all HSA managers have had prior business experience, they share a passion to be innovative and entrepreneurial. All hired managers go through an extensive three-month training period during the fall semester to learn the history, operations, and strategies for their agencies. In addition, the entire team attends workshops to learn basic business skills. New managers officially assume their roles in February, working 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic term. Most management positions also include a full-time summer component, giving managers the time resources to expand their agencies and initiate new HSA projects. As part of HSA's mission to provide students with an opportunity to defray the costs of their education, all managers earn an annual salary.

THE COMP PROCESS

Whether you are interested in management, sales and marketing, publishing, retailing, graphic design, e-commerce, web development, or information technology, HSA is the best way to gain practical, hands-on business experience at Harvard. HSA offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to work with their peers in a casual, yet professional environment.

All prospective managers must participate in HSA Comp beginning in September. The Comp process begins with info sessions and mixers for all prospective applicants to get to know more about HSA and its management team. We encourage you to look through our website and learn about each of our agencies. If you would like to find out more about working at HSA, email recruiting@hsa.net.
