Harvard Skate Presents S'mores Night
HSA is partnering with Harvard Common Spaces to bring an ice rink closer to home through the Harvard Skate project, part of a year-long celebration for Harvard's 375th anniversary. Students now have only to venture as far as the Science Center Plaza to relive their childhood memories atop the 40' by 60' ice rink. And to sprinkle some sugar on top, Harvard Skate hosts a S’mores Night every Friday from 6 to 8 pm, offering free all-you-can-eat s'mores to kick off the weekend!
Harvard Skate held its second S'mores Night last Friday, February 17th. Jubilant Harvard students left the Science Center after turning in their last problem set and stopped at the rink to make a deliciously sticky treat to celebrate their weekend freedom. Members from the Cambridge community also gathered at the rink to enjoy some sweet snacks. As the music played, everyone swapped strategies for making the perfect s’more and had fun showing off their marshmallow roasting skills. Expert s’more makers hopped on the ice after eating to their heart’s content and skated under the lights, enjoying the mild winter night.
Harvard Skate is located in front of the Science Center. It is open Tuesday-Sunday, noon - 9 pm. Skate rentals are $5; admission is free.
